Re: Disappointing Revstar RSP20CR

Actually that is another good point. The quality of guitars coming out of Indonesia has improved massively over the last few years. The same can be said of guitars coming from many other countries. I think these days it's more down to the guitar itself rather than where it was manufactured.

Re: Disappointing Revstar RSP20CR

Hi Revstar Sorry to hear you seem to have spent a lot on a Yamaha and it has not lived up to expectations. As any regular reader of this forum will know, I can be very critical of Yamaha from time to time and I have a feeling this may be one of those times! Speaking for myself, if I had bought that ...

Re: RE: Sony mp3 Walkman (help?)

Easy to get lost in this lot Paul. Loads of figures and variables involved but I think best thing is to get a little perspective. ALL the differences described in this thread although mathematically appear to be of quite large magnitudes the end result is often not even noticeable, at least by most ...

Re: Yamaha HS5 (pair) + HS8S subwoofer

I assume space was the issue then?

These are great monitors though and well worth the money, only caveat being they are fairly heavy so postage might be an issue?

Re: Fusion 6HD . . . .

Over £900 for a Fusion 6HD 8O ? My first one cost £225 and came fully loaded!

It's a great keyboard but no one is going to pay that sort of money for one. The guy is completely delusional.

Re: Alesis Fusion PSU . . .

Thanks for that info Chris. It's a shame that there were these issues around the psu in the Fusion. I never had any problems with mine and I "think" I had three of them, all the 6HD. It does get hot along that right hand side though so perhaps if I had kept them longer this may have become...

Re: Yamaha Montage 7 + Korg Kronos 2 Jamming

No wonder most of us didn't have the SY77/99 when they first came out!

I agree with both points about Kronos. It definitely looks better in black and to my ears at least it sounded better but, probably fairer if they were in isolation because both are being played at the same time in this video.

Re: omoroca says Hi!

Welcome to the forum omoroca :) Your absolutely in the right place for info and help with the SY77. I had one myself a few years back and I still have a lot of SY77 samples that I use from time to time. It was a great synth, one of Yamaha's classics and it's still incredibly popular today. Looking f...

Wow that's good news Chris! Goes to show that no matter how old the kit it will still be of interest to someone :)

Of course you'll have to update your sig now...room for something else perhaps?

Yamaha Montage 7 + Korg Kronos 2 Jamming

Interesting jam of two great keyboards, both sounding excellent. Only slight problems is we are looking at around 6 grands worth of keyboards here! That equates to one fantastic controller, a shed load of sounds and plenty of change left over for a decent holiday! What do you think, one sounds bette...

Re: Truss rod question - Pacifica 112V

Seems very odd that you would need to ever adjust a truss rod by such an amount as to reach it's max/min setting, especially on a Yamaha. If you find you have to turn the truss rod nut more than one complete turn then you have something else going on which is not really fixable by adjustment. Keep i...

Re: The Cat Thread

Our utility room was separate from the house so it wasn't really an issue and anyway our cats use to catch rabbits so they were never short of food. They both lived to 20 and 21 years of age so definitely had a healthy diet. They also looked good right to the end, the last one to go was fine up unti...

Re: The Cat Thread

When we lived out in the countryside and had two cats who were naturally "outdoor" cats, we would leave food in the utility room and of course that was an invitation to other cats in the neighbourhood to drop by for a quick bite. Not much you can do about it really. We did catch them somet...
