Re: Yamaha DTX Multi 12

Hi MB - and welcome to the forums . . . I have zero knowledge about electronic Dums - but there are many in here that probably DO have . . . . If the connections are simply Jack Leads (3.5mm or 1/4") between the control and the "Drum" then it would seem to be simple . . A parallel exa...

Re: RE: Sony mp3 Walkman (help?)

My own opinion for what it is worth - is that 16bit 44.1kHz is WELL plenty - especially if we are "Older". 20 - 20kHz covers MORE than what we can actually hear . . . As an aside - Analog Recording in the Recording Studio on Tape was normally done at 15 ips. With 2" Tape, this represe...

Fusion 6HD . . . .

I only post this because this guy has been trying to offload this for MONTHS . . . . http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/122513928510?ul_noapp=true At £964 + £117 for shipping, it's just too expensive . . . . I paid £300 for my recent 6HD The description is from way back - and whilst its quite detailed on the...

Re: Alesis Fusion PSU . . .

Precisely Saul, everything is more closely packed in the 6HD. The later PSUs were a (partial) redesign - sporting slightly longer "cooling fins" (on one side at any rate) - though I always got the impression that it ran close to it's limit - and therefore ran hot . . . This is why I feel t...

Re: omoroca says Hi!

Hi omoroca - and welcome, As Saul said the Sy77 was a great Synth. MANY of Yamaha's offerings from that time were. I still have my Sy85 though I'm looking to sell due to space problems . . . These Synths SOUND GOOD, which is why they remain popular. There's a timelessness about many of the sounds . ...

Alesis Fusion PSU . . .

Following Jesse's revlation about no more PSU's here: http://promusicproducts.com/forum/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=5933&p=36161#p36158 I sought out InMusic here in the UK today . . . [InMusic Brands (Europe) Tel. 01252-896-040] The phone was answered directly by a Human (Y) (I forgot to not...

I Meant put the collars on your cat(s) not the feral ones - should keep them out unless they are smart enough to learn how

to "tailgate"

Roland LAPC-1 Card & MCB-1 Midi connector Box

Thanks to this Forum, I have a buyer for this ancient card . . . (I mentioned it in my signature strip) LAPC-1 Sound Card.jpg I've scanned the original Docs.* which I have still - and will be passing on. . . and am just finalising packaging and costing shipping to Italy . . . * Here Roland LAPC-1 an...

Re: Basic Arpeggio

Wasn't aware that Roland were in Wales . . . Would be a bit of a hike - but a warm enough invite would forgive a lot . . . . IMO A former Student of mine from Uni has a Studio there, and an OLD friend from years ago now lives there - Robin Lamble - former Bassist with Al Stewart . . . Besides that -...

Re: RE: Sony mp3 Walkman (help?)

Yes, you are right John - East European artists as you say . . . The "Names" were invariably on Deutche Gramaphon Geselleschaft - as you said - (and HMV) which I guess commanded higher fees - so CDs were dearer . . Reputations were well deserved though, as the performances were considered ...

Re: MOX6: Change tempo and time signature within song?

Very Valid observation John . . .

AND a "very routine" musical manipulation . . .

So, the answers should be . . .

"Yes - of course"

An "Instrument" that can't do this is (IMO) not very Musical 8O

Re: RE: Sony mp3 Walkman (help?)

Indeed John, a nice article . . . . (Y) IIRC - when CDs first became popular and we were looking around for something to experience "The Extra" (Headroom/dynamic range etc) . . The NAXOS® CDs were there (invariable DDD) - and were cheap(er) . . . . OK, they were not NAMED artists/orchestra...

Re: The Cat Thread

I'm NOT a Cat person at all, Derek, but it doesn't seem to stop resident Cats, when I go visiting - from zeroing in on me - and sticking like Glue . . . . Spooky . . . . They seem to regard it as a challenge . . . . A mate of mine had 2 Siamese Cats and they both wore "smart" collar...
